1. Overview

You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. This page explains how to make that request, what we delete, and how to disconnect your WhatsApp Business account from yourself.

2. How to Request Deletion

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request" and include:

1. The email address of your account.
2. The name of the Brand (or Brands) you want deleted, or a statement that you want your whole account deleted.
3. If you are a contact or customer of a business that uses the Service rather than an account holder: your name and the phone number or email address the data is stored under, and the business you dealt with.

We may ask you to confirm your identity before we delete anything. We will confirm that we received your request and complete it within 30 days.

3. What We Delete

• Your account and profile information.
• The Brands you ask us to delete, with their pages, contacts, conversation history, files and settings.
• The credentials stored for connected services, including the WhatsApp access token.

We may keep information that the law requires us to keep, or that we need to resolve a dispute or prevent fraud, and only for as long as that is necessary. Copies held in backups are removed as the backups are rotated out.

4. Disconnecting WhatsApp Yourself

You can disconnect a WhatsApp Business account at any time without contacting us:

1. Open your Brand's settings and go to the WhatsApp API tab.
2. Choose Clear. This removes the access token we stored and stops the Service from sending or receiving WhatsApp messages for that Brand.

To also withdraw the permission you gave in Meta, remove the app from the business integrations in your Meta Business settings.

5. Contacts of a Business Using the Service

If your information was added by a business that uses the Service, that business decides what is stored about you and is responsible for it. You can ask that business to delete your information, or send your request to the address above and we will pass it on or act on it.
